This is how I got into Jason Mraz:
It all started one sunny morning when I opened the newspaper and saw that Jewel was going to be in Saratoga, CA doing a show at the Mountain Winery that night. I love Jewel and had forgotten that she was going to be in the bay area...this newspaper was a sign, I had to go! :o) I went into work trying to figure a way to get out early and get on the road. A few stokes of good luck and I ended up getting the evening off. Ticketless I drove like a maniac for two hours to get to the box office in time for the ol' last minute ticket run. Success came in the way of an 8th row seat. Unfortunatly I was eating a chicken caeser salad at the Mountain Winery grill for most of Jason's performance, since I hadn't eaten all day and didn't know at the time what a great show I was missing. However, I did get to see the last one and a half songs of his set. I have never seen such a great opening band! I went directly out and bought his live CD and had him sign it. Luckily I had purchased Jewel tickets for her San Louis Obispo show (in advance this time) and got to see an entire Jason Mraz set on Sept. 15th. I am offically hooked and just tonight bought tickets and made hotel reservations to see him in West Hollywood when he plays at the Troubadour. Hope to meet some fans there!

Additionally, I'd like to mention to other fans:
Well, like I said, it would be great to meet some other Jason fans when I am in Hollywood. (And keep in touch after the show, too.) I am trying to spread the word up here in central Cali about the coolest guy to come out of San Diego. I'll bet that sometime soon everyone will know who Jason Mraz is and I just won't feel as cool because they'll be like, "Duh! I have all of his CD's, where have you been?!" Hee hee.
