My Jewel Story:
I had heard YWMFM and WWSYS on the radio, and I liked them, but didn't love them. In Feb of '97, Jewel was the spring concert at my school, SUNY Geneseo. My friends were going, so I thought, why not? From the very first song, Near You Always, I was hooked. Here was someone whose lyrics spoke to me. I borrowed a friends copy of POY, and had to have it. I searched for info on the web, and found out about the list in september. I was only on for a short time because the list was very active at the time, and I left for winter break (no computer at home). I remained a fan and rejoined the list in June of 1999. Real life has taken over, so I don't tape every appearance any more, but I still love the music.
