My Jewel Story:
well when i was living in Indiana i was about 14 i think and i loved to write and i could never find the right words and well i heard her debut on the radio when i was in the car with my mom and i cried. her words and voice touched me in a way i have never been touched and i helped me open up the door wider to writing and poetry. now not only is she my mentor in life and poetry she is my inspiration and hope that i too can change the way people think about things with a few scribles on the notepad.

jewel has always been the person i wish to meet and be friends with and there are times that i loose my touch and i am in a rut with my writings and then i read one of her books or i listen to her music and things become clearer to me
